Project Manager
£50,000-£70,000 per annum
My client, a leading consultancy based in London is actively seeking an experienced Project Manager to join their existing team.
The key responsibilities of the role are as follows:
· Delivery of assigned projects both in a consultancy role at client sites and internally
· Provision of Project Management based consultancy services, e.g. advice on UAT/OAT, test practice, iterative project design, business analysis
· Involvement in Sales Process; whilst not responsible for lead generation the successful will have an involvement in proposal creation and conversion of leads into projects
· Involvement in Process Improvement by providing assistance to the management team of continual process improvements
· Working alone, or collaboratively, to identify and resolve issues within challenge project environments whilst forging and maintaining strong stakeholder relationships
The key skills & experience required are as follows:
· Previous experience of full lifecycle software delivery projects
· A good solid background in technical project management or team leadership for delivery for blue chip clients, ideally in the financial industry
· Demonstrable experience participating in the review and successful recovery of failing projects (desirable)
· Consultancy/Client-facing background (desirable)
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills
· The ability to interact effectively with internal teams and external clients
· A technical background gained in software development (at a Team Lead/Senior Developer level)
· An understanding of the key drivers in successful software development
· Ideally demonstrable experience of agile/iterative development methodologies (e.g. SCRUM, XP, DSDM, RUP etc.)
· A self-starter with excellent communication skills both to developers and Senior Management
· Strong motivational skills and a good team worker
· Rigorous attention to detail
· Flexible in approach with an ability to adapt to differing client environments and requirements
This role is London based. However, you will be expected to travel to meet clients on a frequent basis, and you will be providing consultancy services on client site.
