SQL DBA

SQL DBA SQL DBA required urgently for a Tier 1 Investment Bank. This is an initial 6 month contract based in Canary Wharf paying up to £425.The ideal candidate will have the following skills.The SQL DBA must have good experience (3-5 years) as a production DBA, preferably with SQL server 2000, 2005, and 2008 would be beneficial. The SQL DBA must support and maintain many SQL Server database systems on both 2000, 2005 and 2008. Experience within a large SQL Server Estate is crucial. In addition you must be a good communicator and be proactive. Responsibility * Deal with critical and serious production SQL Server issues in a timely manner. * Dealing with change requests and end-user queries. * Provide guidance/support to other DBAs including assisting with task allocation/coordination across the team. * Performance Tuning.
