The IT Support Technician will be involved in supporting the internal systems and software for this organisation. You must have good people skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. You will have proven experience of working in service desk support. You will have expeirence of managing servers, desktop and laptops - administration, builds, configuration and troubleshooting in mixed Windows 7 and XP environment with MS Office 2010. You may be Microsoft certified and you may have some experience in Office 365 and SharePoint; although this is not essential. You must have experience of supporting remote users and multiple business applications including in-house and 3rd parties. You will ideally have experience of blackberry device support and management. You will ideally have SQL server and oracle database experience. The successful candidate will also have experience of Active Directory, monitoring back-ups, windows updates, anti-virus and file restores. You will enjoy troubleshooting (remotely and hands-on) and solving problems. Application installation and builds will also fall into your responsibility.
It will be highly desirable (but not essential) for the successful candidate to possibly come from a development background and have expereince of crystal reports and SQL. If you do not have this experience you will be very enthusiastic and keen to learn new things. You will be passionate about learning new things and not afraid to get involved. Your positive attitude will be key.
