Senior Systems Engineer London - Senior Systems Engineer required strong in Dev Ops, Networks, Firewalls, Virtualisation, SAN, ETL, BigData, Linux and Microsoft to work for my leading global provider of optimisation solutions (Testing , Web and Mobile). Your role will be to manage key components of the clients bally distributed platform infrastructure ensuring high availability/performance SLAs are met. This includes design of the platform architecture including networking/system provisioning and software configuration. You will also be providing senior technical leadership by being conversant with current and emerging web based technologies. To apply candidates must have good experience in: Networking and Firewalls (LAN/WAN design, BGP, TCP/IP, UDP protocols, Cisco/Checkpoint/Stonegate), Virtualization (VMWare)* SAN based storage (EMC, NetApp, HP), ETL: TalenD, MS SSIS, BigData: NoSQL (Cassandra/MongoDB/GenFire)/column-based stores: Vertica/Netezza, MS OLAPo Linux stack: Centos, Nginx, WSO2, Microsoft stack: Windows Server/IIS/MS SQL, System provisioning, configuration and monitoring(Spacewalk/Puppet/CfEngine, PXE, Nagios, OSSEC/TripWire, NTP, SVN/Git), Automation of system provisioning, configuration (OS/VMs/middleware/proprietary stack) and deployment processes.
