My client is a highly successful, technology driven, Online & Data business who are changing the way the market works. Due to continued growth they now require a strong Senior PHP Developer to join their fast paced team.
This is a key role within their Development team building advanced Software solutions, with projects cutting across a wide set of solution domains. You will be need to be a Graduate with a strong Degree in a relevant technical discipline with commercial experience of developing Software solutions as a Senior PHP Developer, ideally using Yii framework (although other frameworks are fine).
You will have a passion for developing PHP applications within an Agile environment and be able to demonstrate 1st class skills. My client currently use SCRUM but candidates with experience in XP, DSDM or other recognised Agile frameworks is also fine. Experience of TDD, Unit Testing and Continuous Integration/Delivery is looked for. You will also have the ability to work within a layered SOA architecture working with RESTful services.
Any exposure to Java and/or Grails would be a bonus. Database experience in PostgreSQL or MySQL is looked for. Knowledge of Online retail market is highly advantageous.

This role is based in Covent Garden, London but as you will be leading another team of PHP Developers based in Warwick (Midlands) you will need to travel up to Warwick a couple of days a week (all travel expenses paid for). Salary on offer is up to £55,000 - £60,000 + bonus + package + all travel expenses.![]()
