Project Management Office Resource Manager - West Midlands
Objective / Purpose of the Job
The management of projects, typically (but not exclusively) involving the development and implementation of business processes to meet identified business needs, acquiring and utilising the necessary resources and skills, within agreed parameters of cost, timescales, and quality.
The PMO Resource Manager will be responsible for maintaining a consolidated IT Resourcing Plan and for convening regular Resourcing meetings with departmental Resourcing Representatives to underpin the delivery of projects within IT. The services provided by the PMO Resource Manager are tailored specifically to support the resourcing of projects undertaken within IT, but outside the direct control of the Project Delivery Group.
Preferred Experience and Knowledge
· Significant achievement comprising ownership of several core management processes in at least two steady state PMOs in major organisations e.g. resource management, portfolio planning.
· Introducing focus and structure to effectively and accurately report on the resourcing and health of a portfolio of projects.
· Stakeholder management and expectation management in a major multi-site multinational organisation.
Necessary Technical / Functional Skills
· Expert in the methods, techniques and tools associated with project and portfolio resource management.
