Our client is currently recruiting a Senior Commercial Finance Manager.
They require an experience accountant to join and lead their new wealth division and develop a commercial model that will be used to shape the division.
The role can be based in London or Glasgow.
This firm is a global leader in financial services and continually growing their operations in Glasgow. It is an exciting opportunity to join and lead a newly developed division within their business and shape their commercial strategy going forward.
The salary is extremely competitive for this senior position within a global financial services leader.
The role:
- Your key responsibility is to develop the commercial plan for the new division of the wealth management arm of the business. This will then be used to act on the strategy that is already in place and to amend it accordingly. It will be used to shape the business going forward and analyse exactly where the profit and loss originates and how to make improvements in efficiencies.
- You are critical to the success of this new division and you will direct this division in their growth
- You will develop and adapt a full commercial model as well as determining the short, medium and long term goals of the business.
- You will work closely with the group finance management team and the firm’s stockbrokers to analyse the impact of the division on the business
- You will be responsible for the businesses’ financial performance and form an accurate financial business plan leading to forecasts to be made for the business.
- You will develop strong internal client relationships and directly report to the head of the investment management division.
You require:
- Excellent stakeholder management skills
- Experience building financial models to be used by senior management and being able to communicate where they make a difference to the business.
- Experience analysing non-financial performance indicators as well as financial performance indicators.
- Experience within the financial services market and demonstrable success in a management role
- A qualified Accountant is preferable
- An excellent track record within strategy and management within financial services or banking
