Senior Security Engineer - £30000 - £35000 per annum - West Yorkshire Working for one of the UK fastest-growing specialists in security products and services, this will report to the Support Services Manager. Working mainly in a second / third line role, you will provided remote and hands on assistance with technologies such as Check Point, Juniper, Palo Alto, Proofpoint, Safend, Blue Coat, LogRhythm, Tripwire, ArcSight and others.You will also spend a large amount of time looking after the Managed Service customers, and developing company services to better assist the customers.You will need to not only be technically minded but also be adept at documenting your work correctly.Key tasksProvide technical assistance and support to customers and internal sales teamOversee junior members of the team, including identifying training and development requirementsCarry out formal product evaluations and comparisonsProducing high-quality technical documentationEssential Skills/ExperienceMust have· 2-3 years of experience as a Security Support Engineer· Experience with firewall architecture and design, implementation and administration and troubleshooting; · Experience and knowledge with Check Point· Excellent communications skills, including the ability to build credibility quickly with colleagues and customers· Very strong report writing and documentation skills· Solid networking background· Familiarity with UNIX and Windows operating systemsTwo or more of the following· Knowledge of the Juniper SA series (SSL VPN) equivalent to JNCIA-SSL· Experience with Juniper SSG / SRX· Knowledge of LogRhythm or ArcSight or other SEIM solution.· Knowledge of authentication systems such as RSA, SecurEnvoy or Cryptocard.· Experience with Palo Alto (equivalent to CCSA)· Experience with Blue Coat Proxy / AccelerationDesirable Skills/Experience· Experience with a mail vendor such as Proofpoint or IronPort.· CCSA, JNCIA-FWV, JNCIA-SSL and/or CCNA certification· Relevantinformation security experience in the financial services, corporate or public sectors· Experience with IPS/IDS systems· BSc./BEng./MSc. in information security, computer science, engineering, physics, mathematics or related field or equivalent experienceLocationShipley, West Yorkshire.
