I am currently working with a business based in Gloucestershire who are currently recruiting for an Infrastructure Architect to join their transformation programme.
The Infrastructure Architect is charged with developing infrastructure architecture from concept, through design and planning and through overall delivery. On top of this there will be the requirement to lead multi-discipline teams of technical specialists as part of the programme.
The current technical stack is very broad and will cover the following technologies:
* SUN Solaris on SPARC architecture.
* Oracle Middleware - OAS/WebLogic/Glassfish.
* Oracle Database Technologies - 10g/11g, Oracle RAC, Oracle ASM etc.
* Linux Technologies (RHEL, SUSE, Ubuntu)
* Wintel Technologies - Windows Server, SQL, VMWare, Active Directory
* Cloud technology stacks and their integration into existing estates - Amazon EC2/AWS (IaaS), Azure (IaaS, PaaS)
* Storage Area Networks (SAN) - both for UNIX and x86 environments.
* Networking - Leased Lines/MPLS/Firewalls/Cisco switching/Cisco Routing/Load balancing.
* Solid TCP/IP Skills, DNS, DHCP, NAT.
* Knowledge of system security across Networks, UNIX, LINUX and Microsoft Windows.
This is a contract position looking to pay £500/day for an initial 3 month contract, based in Gloucestershire.
