Product Owner - London - £50K - £60K plus bens
Product Owner is required by our client to establish and maintain the Product backlog in collaboration with the Digital Platform’s Product Portfolio Manager and internal website owners.
A key requirement of the role is to manage user stories and balance and optimise between multiple clients, ensuring that the product development team has a well-defined backlog of work.
Key accountabilities include:
* Establishing and maintaining the Product backlog in collaboration with the Digital Platforms’ Product Portfolio Manager
* Taking high level business requirements from internal website owners and translating them into user stories with clear acceptance criteria
* Prioritise business requirements, schedule them into a release scope and communicate these schedules to stakeholders
* Collaborate with and drive the product development team to deliver the best quality solutions utilising agile scrum practices
* Drive innovation across product development and ways of working
* Work closely with the Digital Platforms’ Business Manager and Business Adviser to understand organisations business drivers
* Co-ordinate the requirements and dependencies with other teams throughout the business
* Maintain the team’s work backlog, ensuring an adequate supply of groomed stories
* Participate in Backlog meetings, story grooming, daily stand-ups as the clients representative of the Product Development team
* Regular reporting to leadership team on progress, issues and risks
Key objectives include:
* Previous experience in similar or as an Agile Product Owner or experience as a Scrum Master with a desire to move into a more business facing role
* Managing and developing digital media products (in-life and new product development)
* Demonstrate Business Analysis skills, problem solving and providing creative solutions
* Proven experience creating new product concepts including prototyping and building investment case
* Strong understanding and experience of Agile product lifecycle management
* Able to take high level customer requirements and create user stories for development
* Ability to work with a diverse customer base (Marketing focused & Corporate Websites)
* Solid understanding of web; internet, intranet, social media and impact on consumer
* Collaborates with business partners and 3rd party suppliers
* Demonstrate experience of Stakeholder management
* Understanding of UXD role in Product Development including knowledge of accessibility guidelines as they apply to a multi-channel content experience
* Experience of working with an Enterprise Web Content Management System
* Qualified Scrum Master
* Creative or Digital Agency experience
* Passionate about delivering a world-class multi-channel content experience
