.NET Lead Developer / Technical Lead / Development Manager / Development Lead - Our client, a leading research institute based in London, is seeking an experienced Senior Developer to manage and lead a small team of Developers on a number of crucial projects that they are currently working on. This is a maternity cover - fixed term contract for a period of 12 months. A great opportunity for a Senior Developer with strong leading experience to step in to a management role.
THE ROLE:To design, document, build, test and implement new IT systems and applications based on business requirements with the emphasis on the design and development/support of applications using the Microsoft .NET suite. To support, maintain and modify existing systems and services. To develop and support the Databases used within the company.
Main Responsibilities:
*To design, develop, implement and maintain business systems according to corporate standards.
*To support, maintain and modify existing systems and services.
*To design and develop database systems using Microsoft SQL database, Microsoft Dynamics 2011 and Oracle.
*To develop and document procedures to ensure the integrity and accuracy of the Trust's databases & software
*Test, debug and document software developed both internally and externally.
*To support users by providing operational support and training where required.
*To assist with the ongoing development of internal standards.
*To produce system and user documentation as well as management information when required.
*Liaise with the business stakeholders and end users to produce business case and specification of requirements and technical specifications.
*To report progress to key stakeholders.
*Manage full development life cycle of any systems development
*Lead and inspire Development teams monitoring progress and delivery against project milestone.
*Work with users to identify and document requirements analyzing business requirements and developing these into to functional and technical documents.
*To carry out monthly 1 to 1’s and annual performance reviews
*To undertake any reasonable task requested by the jobholder’s line manager.
Skills required:
*Substantial experience working as a Programmer in a professional Microsoft Windows environment.
*Knowledge of Object Oriented programming/design techniques.
*Expertise in .Net technologies with relational databases.
*SQL Server/Oracle experience (Oracle is desirable but not essential)
*Ability to develop software based on the description of business logic.
*Experience of full software development life cycle.
*Previous experience of Agile, RAD and scrum an advantage.
