Oracle Request For Change Support Analyst - RFC

My client, a leading housing association, is currently seeking a strong Oracle Request For Change Support Analyst. The ideal candidate will be looking to join a team to support the management of Oracle On Demand RFC's. The idea candidate will have experience working in similar applications support role.

Key Responsibilities

Service Delivery
· Support the management of Oracle On Demand RFC's
· Assist the Oracle Functional Leads where required, with the RFC's raised for Oracle
· Work with the system functional leads to make sure the Service Now RFC process meets the needs of the users and the business
· Respond to user support calls, resolve issues and communicate progress on issues raised and solution delivery using the client's tracking systems

System Administration
· Carry out all aspects of process analysis and administration duties for the Oracle and other bespoke service, now RFC process
· Create and maintain Service Now groups, roles and users of the RFC process with appropriate levels of access and security, managing master data to maintain a segregation of duties and to ensure consistency and integrity of shared data
· Produce documentation to support existing and new RFC processes
· Administration of the Change Advisory Board review meetings required by the RFC process
· Monitor RFC workflow queues and issues to ensure processes are operating effectively and efficiently

Continuous Improvement
· To proactively contribute to the continual development RFC processes in order to ensure increased efficiency and effectiveness in working practices
· Work with application support teams and functional leads to gain user engagement for continual improvement of RFC processes
· To assist with the project management of future RFC process developments and develop user specification requirements in conjunction with subject matter experts
· Evaluate options available using existing or new Service Now processes and to recommend effective solutions whilst considering the wider consequences of each recommendation or decision made.
· Carry out analysis and/or design tasks on RFC projects as required.
· As and when required, liaise with the client's Learning & Development team to ensure user online RFC training material is produced for new functionality or amended for changed functionality.
· Ensure that all functional deployments follow the client’s change control process.

Testing
· Develop and write test scripts for Service Now RFC processes and carry out testing following RFC process development and implementation or change activities to ensure that processes continue to operate correctly and that changes are working effectively and meet user requirements.
· Assist end users with the preparation of specific RFC user acceptance test scripts to ensure thorough testing can be performed before new or changed RFC processes are released.
· Co-ordinate and support user acceptance testing of Service Now RFC activities to ensure new or changed functionality works effectively and meets user requirements.
· Manage issue and defect logs in relation to new or modified Service Now RFC processes and provide solutions for any issues found.
· Create any required test data to ensure users can complete Service Now RFC test scripts.



Essential Skills and Experience

· Experience of working in a similar applications support role.
· Experience of business process design, incorporation, testing, maintenance and support.
· Process technical and support document creation.
· Excellent communication skills at all levels with a clear understanding of customer focus and experience of the delivery of a business-facing service.
· A pro-active, participative and flexible approach to problem solving, taking the initiative by evaluating, making suggestions and generating new ideas to improve working methods and levels of performance.
· Ability to prioritise workload to meet conflicting priorities and deadlines with a high level of attention to detail and accuracy.
· An affinity with the work of the social housing / care sector.

Desirable Skills

· IT Qualifications or relevant professional memberships.
· Experience of business process design, incorporation, testing, maintenance and support. Service - Now administration experience.
· Oracle On Demand administration experience.
