Vendor Management Support Analyst - Uxbridge
My client, a high profile oil & gas company, is looking for a Vendor Management Support Analyst to join their team in Uxbridge.
Role Synopsis:
The Vendor Manager Support Analyst (VM) is responsible for segment / function vendor relationship, performance and contract management , and third-party sourcing strategies. Additionally, the Vendor Manager SuppoAnalyst will be responsible for compliance with broader vendor strategies. The VM Support Analyst will work very closely with Indirect Procurement (IP).This role will be crucial to establishing strong vendor relationships, managing vendor contracts and performance, and leveraging Segment / Function scale to deliver optimal value for the business. The VM Support Analyst will report to the Segment Vendor Manager.
Key Accountabilities:
* Supporting the management of strategic vendor relationships within IT&SiF on and across the activities in which third parties are engaged, for a minimum of $20m of vendor annual spend
* Supplier governance; effectively managing third parties (approximately 5 major vendors)and chairing vendor relationship governance meetings
* Participate in the annual portfolio planning cycle and be the interface to 3rd part vendors
* Developing & maintaining vendor performance management materials such as metrics and score cards to drive desired vendor behaviour / required outcomes
* Measure KPIs and publishing performance and service improvement results.
* Ensuring that the data required generating enterprise wide MI reports and executive briefs / consolidated reports of supplier performance are always available / up to date.
* With Head of Strategy Conducting periodic risk evaluation of strategic vendors and development of risk mitigation plans
* Assessing the demand for vendor services and ensuring that demand forecasts are shared with vendors.
* Where appropriate participate in the annual planning cycle and be the interface to vendors
* Driving vendor innovation and continuous improvement initiatives by focusing on improved services and identifying potential cost saving opportunities.
Essential Criteria:
* Demonstrable experience of vendor/supplier/3rd party management, from a focus of large technical organisations with experience in IT commodities/ services procurement
* Experience of outsourcing and management of offshore suppliers
* Experience defining and utilizing "best practices" within vendor management and an in-depth knowledge of existing industry standards and benchmarks
* Experience of managing performance measurement frameworks for large-scale engagements of up to 5 major vendors and spend of up to $25m
* Experience managing budgets and cost-control, including cost-centred vendor engagement models
* Experience working closely with Indirect Procurement organizations to negotiate relevant service contracts with vendors
* Proven track record of successfully influencing teams of a diverse background with regards to culture, language and work experience
* Strong in financial analysis - ability to analyse financial statements, financial data, strong excel skills.
* Good negotiation skills with experience in negotiating commercial IT contracts
* Ability to engage senior business and IT personnel in an effective manner
* Good written and verbal communication skillsExcellent customer service orientation
Desirable Criteria:
* Experience of managing high value multi vendor strategic IT supplier relationships
Relevant professional experience and certification e.g. Service Delivery, (ITIL Certification), Procurement (MCIPS certification), IT Project Management (CPM / CPSM Certification).
