A proven Software Developer with commercial experience in web development (ASP.Net/VB.net and SQL) is required to work within a team on highly transactional websites.

Key responsibilities:
· Developing software from a technical specification towards a roadmap release
· Developing customer funded requirements
· Estimating work based on requirements
· Designing highly performing websites
· Unit testing and load testing of all new development
· Monitoring customer environments during peak sales periods
· Maintaining and upgrading customer sites
· Installation of new customer environments
· Aiding the web designer to style new customers and existing customers with changes
· Development of internal administration software to manage customer environments

Key skills:
· Web Development (ASP.Net 4/VB.net)
· SQL + SQL Server 2008
· Javascript + jQuery
· Web Design and CSS skills
· High-performance database design
· API design and web services (using XML, SOAP etc.)
· Clearly demonstrated ability to follow software development and quality assurance processes
· Delivery of production software as part of a software development team

Desirable skills:
· Subversion
· Payment gateway (PayPal/Google checkout)
· Server 2008 R2 / IIS7.5 knowledge
· Server setup and management
· Good level of networking knowledge.
