SKILLS REQUIRED
· Essential experience you will have developed several commercial applications on the Android platform either for enterprise or consumer use. Practical experience of wireless communications and disconnected working-modes, data synchronisation and working with RESTful web services is also required.
· Useful skills and experience will be test-driven development experience, good software design skills, an understanding of non-functional requirements and how to meet them, particularly in time-sensitive operations. Understanding how to code safely in a low-memory environment and provide monitoring and auditing facilities as part of the application will be very welcome. Experience with other mobile platforms including Windows Mobile, Windows CE and iOS and other languages, in particular C# and .net will also be of interested.
