The Company
The company is an £80m revenue business, providing validation, restoration and replacement solutions to UK insurance clients and their policyholders. We work in partnership with a wide network of retailers throughout the UK to offer flooring and furniture repair and replacement services.
The Role
This role presents an exciting opportunity for an experienced Test and Support Engineer to join an established but ambitious business.
Candidates should have in excess of 5 years' experience in the successful delivery of enterprise software, with a particular focus in the testing of software components in complex multi-application environments.
The successful candidate will hold responsibility both for verifying that software deliverables work from a technical perspective, as well as, validate that deliverables meet the business requirements. The scope of the work will include testing for new developments, as well as, regression testing of existing systems undergoing incremental change.
The role will include all aspects of the management and running of the test process, including test planning, writing test scripts, running tests, fault tracking, co-ordinating test environments and management of test data. The scope of testing will include desktop, mobile and web applications. Additionally for integration projects, it will be necessary to co-ordinate and work with third party organisations to undertake testing.
This role requires a solution focused self-starter with excellent problem solving, communication and team skills. The ability to deliver validated software components to project timelines is essential. Business analysis and process modelling skills are desirable.
As a key member of the IT & Change Team, the successful candidate will be involved in supporting business applications, liaising with third party and in-house developers, assisting in the identification and deployment of fixes into Production environments.

· Test process management experience, including:
* Test planning
* Test environment co-ordination
* Test scripting
* Running testing
* Fault logging and management
* Co-ordination with development and support teams
* Experience of using fault logging and management tools. E.g. JIRA / Bugzilla etc.
· Experience of testing complex multi-application systems, including web, desktop and mobile applications
· Testing of applications built on the Microsoft platform (.NET and legacy technologies), SQL Server, and integrations including Web Services, file transfers etc.
· Excellent written and presentation skills.
· Strong team contributor.
