A leading client of mine requires a solid IT Security Manager with strong experience of delivering ISO and Compliance base security audit
The role:
Application and promotion of internal Information Security Policies and Standards in conjunction with the Information Security & Compliance Team
Contribution to development and application of baseline security standards key platforms e.g. UNIX
Ensuring compliance and continual review & development of IT Security standards
Liaise with internal and external audit. Implement audit recommendations as required.
Assessment and evaluation of security tools and products
Serves as an internal information security consultant to the organisation
Provides security and awareness training and oversight to IT employees
Perform IT security risk assessments and serves as an internal auditor for security issues
Implements information security policies and procedures for the organisation
Monitors compliance with Information Security Policies and procedures, referring problems to the appropriate department manager
Advises the organisation with current information about Information Security technologies and related regulatory issues
Monitors the internal control systems to ensure that appropriate access levels are maintained
Process improvement re: engineering with respect to user provisioning
Work with Security Architect and IS & C team
Experience:
Strong influencing skills
Good communicator (both verbal and written)
Self-motivation and drive
Developed interpersonal skills
Credible & diplomatic
Minimum of 2-3 years of working in a Security or Audit environment
Knowledge of BS7799 * Understanding of security concepts and principles
Varied technical knowledge including UNIX, AIX, Linux, Cisco Network IDS, Cisco Host-based IDS, eTrust Access Control, ESM, and IDS. encryption, Digital Certificates, SSL, VPN, IPSec, TCP/IP, DNS and web security architecture, mySQL, subversion, SpamAssassin etc.
Knowledge of QMS/ISO9000
Awareness of security related legislation e.g. Data Protection Act
