Employee Relations Specialist - £35-50k + bonus + bens

As a strong, recognised Global service Brand my client is an exciting prospect for a high potential candidate seeking to further develop their career and take up a responsible role as subject matter expert in Employee Relations. Acting as a Centre for Excellence within a centralised HR support function, you role will be key in minimising business risk and ensuring that positive Employee Relations are maintained all within the spirit of core Company Values. Working within a matrix structure, supporting a diverse employee population across multiple business functions, your ability to juggle priorities and manage relationships at all levels, will be key to your success. This is a newly scoped role offering a fantastic opportunity to ';make you mark’ and develop your long-term career within an exciting brand.

Examples of Accountabilities

* Develop HR policy and procedures setting out Group principles and establishing a frame-work and strategy for effective ER management; providing a flexible and balanced approach that adds commercial value
* Liaise with HR Business Partner and other HR colleagues in the development and implementation of effective policy in line with Employment Legislation and Business objectives
* Lead on complex Employee Relations casework to include preparation and representation at Employment Tribunal where appropriate
* Act as first point of call for ER advice, providing a remote ';helpline’ service in-line with agreed service levels and standards, escalating and sharing information with the relevant HR teams where necessary
* Develop and maintain effective working practices and processes with a focus on continuous improvement
* Own all ER related data and people records with responsibility for consistency in documentation and accuracy.
* Project manage the development of an ER case log for use locally and Globally, identify trends within multiple business areas and working with HR and business leaders, proactively develop solutions to address issues and encourage ownership
* Support on the development of strategy and values that work at local and Global levels and drive behaviours in line with Company philosophy
* Maintain CPD in Employee Relations, educating yourself and the business on best practice and Legislative changes



Key Skills, Qualifications & Experience

* Ideally CIPD qualification; or similar Employment Law qualification
* Recent experience of a similar role as an HR Generalist with ER focus or an ER Specialist
* Background within commercial organisations operating within large, complex organisational structures ideally within a similar, Global ';matrix’ set up
* Significant experience managing multiple Employee Relations cases up to senior, complex level, ideally to include preparation and representation at Employment Tribunal
* Ability to influence and build multiple stakeholder relationships, locally and Globally, up to and including senior manager and Director level
