Data Architect / treasury /IT systems / data architecture
Job Description
The key objective of this role is to define the Target State Treasury Data Architecture. This is a key deliverable required as part of a strategic project to build out the future state Treasury IT platform and retire a legacy platform.
The Data Architect will be required to work effectively with the Treasury and Treasury Operations business teams, Technical Architects and Business Analysts within the Treasury IT team and the IT vendor teams to successfully define the Treasury Data Architecture.
The role requires an enthusiastic, pragmatic self-starter who wants to solve problems by delivering quality and cost-effective solutions through the employment of excellent data analysis techniques and functional domain knowledge.
Skill set
Outstanding data architecture skills comprising demonstrable experience of all aspects of data architecture such as logical models, usage models etc.
Experience of the TOGAF architecture framework with particular focus on the data architecture
Experience in stakeholder management and building excellent professional relationships
Experience of Enterprise Architecture tools and modelling notation such as Sparx Enterprise Architect and Archimate.
Comfortable working within a full project life cycle from initiation through to delivery
Experience of liaison with other departments (i.e. business units, infrastructure teams, audit) across multiple countries
Experience in working with remote client and vendor resources
Experience in identifying and documenting client technical needs, internal structures, procedures, workflows and systems
Experience working within the Financial Industry, exposure to Risk Management and Rates/Credit Products preferable.
Familiarity with Reporting and Relational Database technologies such as Oracle OBIE.
