CMS Project Manager / Product Manager

Primary Responsibilities:

* Provide technology program/project management for Product and Content Technology initiatives. This includes:
* Providing project leadership, work direction and feedback to the project leads, project managers and teams.
* Overseeing and monitoring progress on complex and/or multiple projects relative to scope, schedules, budgets and quality.
* Serving as the project issue escalation point and primary contact across organizations.
* Facilitating solutions to complex problems and managing difficult process improvements.
* Negotiating and resolving conflicting change requests and changing priorities across customers/projects.
* Communicating and reporting status to executives, customers, and all other relevant individuals and groups.
* Conducting project assessments at a program level.
* Developing or assisting in developing business cases.
* Coaching and training others on project management skills and methodologies.
* Participate as a member of the management team in:
* Serving as a resource manager to project managers. Developing and achieving departmental goals
* Establishing best practices (including standards and process)
* Managing/mentoring project managers
* Executing broader departmental initiatives and programs
* Active partnership in the portfolio management process, providing high-level scoping, estimating and projections of initiatives.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

* Four-year undergraduate degree in computer science, or related field
* Extensive related experience, including strong project/program management experience with implementation of large scale, cross-functional projects in a technology environment
* Demonstrated achievements in planning, directing and implementing complex projects on time, within budget and with desired functionality
* Ability to be broadly focused and manage multiple efforts concurrently
* Ability to allow sufficient independence while maintaining alignment and overall direction
* Ability to work effectively with all levels of the organization; including staff, business stakeholders, and all levels of management
* Strong written and verbal communication skills, including with Executive audiences
* Strong conflict resolution, negotiating and influencing skills
* Ability to work in fast-paced, changing, and ambiguous environments

Preferred or Desired Qualifications:

* Masters or advanced degree in computer science, business, or related field
* Broad knowledge of agile methodologies, , Content systems,
* TFS and Version One Experience
* PMO certification
