Head of Software Development
Highly successful organisation in Leeds requires a head of Development to join their highly accomplished team. You will have responsibility for maintaining the overall corporate systems and solutions to ensure the right products and services are delivered to the business.
This role will report into the Head of Delivery and be accountable for managing and overseeing the team that manage all systems solution development, configuration. You will help to maintain and develop centres of excellence for the organisation that will help differentiate and offer real competitive advantage and ROI.
Essential Skills:
* Previous experience managing a development team
* Thorough understanding of IT development principles and practices
* Proven experience of managing senior stakeholders, strong communication up to exec level
* Ability to manage large third party contracts
* Thorough understanding of software development methodologies, processes and structures
* Strong coaching and mentoring skills, with the ability to develop high performing teams
* Experience of working with high volume high availability systems/ Retail systems would be an advantage
