My client is looking for an IT Solution Architect to work within our Systems Architecture team in IT. Reporting to the Head of IT Development (Systems Architecture), you will be working in an exciting and dynamic environment, establishing formal IT Architecture frameworks, standards and design patterns and associated governance processes.
The Solution Architect is responsible for producing high level designs for larger projects and ensuring business value is delivered for minimised total cost of ownership. The Solution Architect will provide governance during the delivery of large and small projects to ensure the end deliverable meets the design criteria and delivers business benefit.
The Solution Architect will participate in the Design Authority for all software change, reviewing the high level solution designs for compliance with IT strategy, policies and design patterns.
The Solution Architect will work as part of the Systems Architecture team maintaining the documentation of the Enterprise Architecture within the Estate as well as creating the building blocks and artefacts for the architectural catalogue (IT strategy, policies and design patterns).
You should demonstrate experience of best practice for a SOA based enterprise architecture. Knowledge of Microsoft and Oracle technologies would be an advantage as would exposure to TOGAF. Strong influencing and presentation skills are also a pre-requisite, to help drive strategic architectures into the existing software estate.
