Senior Developer - ASP.NET MVC TDD Scrum Agile C# e-Commerce

Our client, a prestigious global e-commerce brand are seeking a Senior .NET Developer to join their rapidly growing technology team. This is a permanent position based in one of the best parts of London.

Due to the businesses huge success, this is a newly created role which has come as part of the expansion project in their London HQ and globally. This is a very exciting company to be joining.

You will be working as part of Agile/XP team building products in C# and JavaScript using ASP.NET MVC3/4, RESTful APIs in MVC and back-office systems. The successful candidate will be proficient in the Microsoft web stack, messaging techniques (MSMQ) and love building great web products.

You will be:

-Working with product managers to build websites and applications in C# and ASP.NET MVC.
-Unit testing and building code changes to existing products and infrastructure.
-Consuming third party APIs (e.g. Facebook, Twitter) to enrich the current company platform.
-Working in cross functional agile teams with in-stream product managers, QAs and dedicated front-end developers.
-Rapidly shipping new functionality to production in a continuous delivery focused environment.
-Working with product managers to rapidly iterate on product ideas.
-A great communicator, communicating issues and resolving issues.
-Pairing with other developers to solve problems.


They’re looking for senior developers who are truly passionate about software design, performance and best practices. You’ll also have:

*A wealth of experience implementing web applications with .NET
*A modern Microsoft-stack developer, with appreciation of "alt.net” tools, package management and modern frameworks (e.g. Dynamics, Async, Simple.Data, NancyFx, nHibernate).
*An appreciation and understanding of agile, xp and test driven development.
*A generalist, just as comfortable building products are you are tuning caching implementations.
*Experienced in building "MVC style” web apps (e.g. ASP.NET MVC, Ruby on Rails, Monorail).
*Strong experience with ORMs (especially nHibernate).
*Solid experience of jQuery and JavaScript
*Exposure to REST Services
*Deep understanding of object orientation, SOLID and design patterns and DDD.
*Familiarity with HTML5/CSS, exposure to modern JavaScript techniques and SaSS/.less is an advantage.
*A keen awareness of scalability, caching and running systems "at web scale”.
*Excellent problem solving and analytical skills.
*Problem solver who communicates with everybody effectively to get a requirement implemented and ready for release.
*Innovator, always thinking of useful solutions for day to day problems.
