IT PROJECT OFFICER - PERMANENT OPPORTUNITY - MILTON KEYNES
A large organisation in Milton Keynes is looking for an experienced IT project officer to join their team to manage and deliver small to medium IT Projects or IT work streams within large or complex IT Projects or Programmes. They are offering a competitive salary 30-35K based upon experience.
Role Requirements:
*Management of small to medium IT projects and work streams of larger IT projects and programmes.
*Produce plans for IT projects, monitor progress against these plans and keep them up-to-date.
*Make changes to the plans to reflect to dependency issues and cross-project resource issues
*Liaise with IT Managers and IT staff to ensure that work is not overlooked or duplicated
*Plan and manage project budgets with support as required
*Suggest areas for cost and time reductions which add value to the project
*Maintain IT risk register and issues log, including contingency plans and escalating upwards. Facilitate ownership of risks and issues and escalates items as appropriate
The ideal candidate will have the following experience:
*Good awareness of modern system development & project methodologies, practices and approaches and strong understanding of the system development life cycle.
*Evidence of developing and maintaining good and effective relationships with internal and external business partners
*Some experience of effectively managing Third Party suppliers.
*Some experience of motivating and building effective teams
*Understanding of business drivers, pressures and value
*Able to simplify and communicate complex issues
*Broad understanding of the use of IT in business, with some ability to understand and explain technical IT issues
