My client is a leading financial services firm. They seek an exceptional BA preferably with front office experience to work on a particularly high profile global regulatory motivated project.

We need people who will be aligned in a front to back capacity with these controls and other aspects of the framework who will help to shape the work-stack that feeds into the development, marketing, training, test and project closure spaces.
The programme sits under Finance IT Management, but is truly cross functional in nature. Our aspiration is to be seen as experts who can:

* Partner with relevant stakeholders to deliver those solutions in a timely, effective and cost efficient manner

Specific to this Role

We are specifically recruiting for a Lead Business Analyst. This role will require thorough analysis and articulation of relevant business data requirements and identification and understanding of specific data consistency and data quality issues to ensure effective delivery. This role may also involve solution documenting, development, testing and implementation of solutions.

The LBA is expected to deliver qualitative and quantitative analysis, business and functional data requirements documentation, work with Operations, Risk and Finance stakeholders (Business and IT) to understand impact of in-flight activities on data gathering process, provide analysis support remediation work undertaken by delivery partners.

Activities in scope are (i) Understanding of cross functional data requirements that are sourced from upstream systems (transaction, reference etc) that are need to support strategic processes, (ii) Driving through the solutions, and maintaining momentum in getting to the solutions, (iii) ensuring requirements are made available to the tech team and assisting in the generation of the Technical Specification, (iv) consider workarounds to support short terms processes whilst keeping a focus on the strategic end state.

The LBA is expected to be a self-starter, self-motivated and able to engage with senior stakeholders in the UK, Asia and North America. They will be required to ensure analysis is of high quality, delivered in a timely manner, participate in design workshops/ meetings in conjunction with business and technology teams, proposing, documenting and defining system solutions. They will need to maintain and action a RAID log and facilitate through meetings as per defined governance model. They will need to ensure timely escalation of issues that endanger project or programme level milestones and maintain communications with other dependent projects/programmes.

Essential Experience: (Must have skills)
* Manage a project on their own with minimal guidance
* Data Analysis, profiling and data modelling
* Process change and process improvements
* Reporting process analysis and specifications
* Creating strong partnerships with key stakeholders
* Project management and business analysis
* Writing business requirement specifications
* Identifying new business requirements, agreeing priorities with IT and business stakeholders
* Good understanding of Operation/Middle Office/Finance functions
* Microsoft Office skills

Supplementary Experience: (Useful additional skills)

* Products Knowledge
* Operations/Risk reporting process knowledge
* Knowledge of systems used within M&IB would be advantageous
* Experience and knowledge of collateral and valuations reporting guidelines
* Prince 2 or PMBOK knowledge
* Experience of data profiling tools
* Previous involvement in Control Remediation programmes would be advantageous
