A Leading London based advertising firm is seeking to hire a Head of PMO to join its growing business. Accountable for directing and overseeing the project portfolio, the Head of PMO directs and oversees a team of project managers and provides business leaders project reviews. Ensures environment for projects to be clearly defined, well-planned, correctly budgeted, systematically executed and well-documented.
Key Tasks
* Project Portfolio : Lead and manage the project portfolio process to continually and objectively reassess priorities as the business evolves
* Project Management Team : Lead and manage the Programme and Project Management Team
* Project Management Practice : Lead and manage the Project Management Practice
* Post Implementation Review : Lead and manage the Post Implementation Review Process
Essential requirements
* Minimum of 10 years of experience in project management required
* Minimum of 5 years of experience in portfolio/program management required
* Experience and understanding of budgetary control and resource allocation
* Experience of introducing new project management processes and training/mentoring of these new ways of working
* Ability to work under minimal supervision, independently and/or as a member of a project team
* Ability to multitask and to prioritize workload under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment - must escalate appropriate issues to management in a timely fashion
* Must be detailed oriented - with strong attention to accuracy and problem solving. "Following-up until resolved” skills are a must
* Ability to work in a matrix organizational structure and manage multiple stakeholders in a global organisation
* Experience in using Project Management systems e.g. MS Project
* Skills in Microsoft office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook, etc.)
