Director of Managed Services
My Client is a national IT Solutions Provider with a specialist expertise in supporting the Financial Services Industry and other blue chip clients. The company has gone from strength to strength to become an award winning IT provider with clients in all corners of the globe.


Role Summary:
Manage a team responsible managed services portfolio that maximise opportunities in the UK market and aligns with group strategy.
Build, develop and manage a consulting and service design/delivery team that accurately captures our client requirements, pro-actively adds value and designs service solutions that deliver mutually profitable returns.
Role Responsibilities:
* Deliver go to market, business development and support sales initiatives for a portfolio of service offerings across our lines of business.
* Build and manage a proactive Consulting Services that defines and delivers consulting assessments, methodologies and client engagements that achieve both billable and pull through revenue.
* Lead and manage a proactive pre-sales team to support new business and contract renewal initiatives
* Work in close collaboration with the Sales Force and Strategic Sales Specialists to drive services growth and referenceability
* Monitor, manage and drive the services pipeline and results
* Act as a role model demonstrating the business
* Ownership, management and development of the services, including Consulting Services portfolio
* Attract, develop, engage and retain high performing individuals who contribute to the success of the business
* Develop new and existing key stakeholders relationships to improve stakeholder satisfaction and return
* Define and manage strategies, operating plans and financial targets in line with UK business objectives
* Maximise departmental efficiencies by designing, implementing and managing processes, systems, tools and methodologies
* Vendor selection and management in line with company strategy and policies
* Alignment to the Group Consulting Framework and Charter
* Produce and communicate management/business information to enable effective visibility and decision making

Success will be measured by:
* Deliver accurate services scoping, design, pricing and expectations management
* Lifecycle management of the propositions within the UK services and consulting portfolio
* Management and successful execution of the Consulting Services strategy in the UK
* Customer win rate new and repeat business, referral and referenceable client targets
* Deliver an executable succession plan
* An empowered team where individuals take full accountability for their responsibilities
* Evidence of managing high performance through reviews, development, coaching, accreditation and performance management
* Attain staff attrition targets set within the UK business
* Seen as a role model demonstrating company values
* Regular measurement and attainment of customer satisfaction targets
* Efficiency gains through effective interaction with internal and external stakeholders
* Client engagement targets
* Demonstrable efficient gains through tools, automation, process and system optimisation
* Implement effective methodologies that deliver governance, consistency, repeatability and scale
* Management of costs as prioritized by the UK business
* Accurate and timely production of management and business information
* Proactively highlight opportunities and issue, with recommended solutions
* Attain rating and accreditations as required by our selected partners
* Compliance and adherence to internal and external standards e.g. ISO9001

Desired Skills & Experience
Essential
* Considerable experience of IT managed services and people management, including service sales, pre-sales and portfolio
* Experience and understanding of sales and client engagement through the full client lifecycle
* Service design and pre-sales experience
* Proven ability in building and managing a consulting services and managing successful outcomes through large teams
* Business experience including financial management
* A demonstrable track record of success in translating strategic direction into pragmatic and workable solutions and ultimately successful business results
* Service portfolio development and management experience
* Marketing and business development experience


Desirable
* An understanding of the technologies and vendors within the UK portfolio mainly Cisco and Microsoft.
* Experience of hosted solutions
* Degree or equivalent
* Sales or Sales management experience
* ITIL
