My client is a leading city based bank. Their Infrastructure Services Team provides services which underpin the Bank’s IT systems, providing Fabric Infrastructure, Communications, Security, and Core applications in its service catalogue.
The Team Leader will assist in the definition and maintenance of the standards of project management and process within the Office. Strive to standardise and introduce economies of repetition in the execution of projects. Act as the source of documentation, guidance and metrics on the practice of project management and execution. Support the successful delivery of programs undertaken by the office through effective budgeting tracking and reporting. Assist with advising managers and teams on the best use of project management disciplines and approaches and act as the first point of contact for any program management queries.
The Team Leader will assist and advise leaders, managers, and teams to the best use of project management disciplines and approaches within a fast-paced, high tech environment, whilst acting as a reference point for queries and information and an advocate for best practices in project management.
The Team Leader will maintain processes to ensure project management documentation, reports and plans are relevant, accurate and complete, whilst tracking and reporting on project portfolio performance, providing a real-time, comprehensive and prioritised view of all projects. The post holder will also provide assistance to maintain and update the project management framework and disciplines necessary to support a PMO, whilst developing positive relationships with managers and staff to enable the PMO to provide support including facilitation, tracking and reporting on projects, and training.
* Experience of managing budgets and reporting to Stakeholders
* Proven PMO/Project Analyst experience and knowledge of project management frameworks
* Understanding of the principles and frameworks of successful project management from a support perspective
* Proven experience in providing service to internal stakeholders to achieve successful project outcomes
* Understanding of project delivery and acceptance processes within a fast-paced business environment
* Demonstrated capability for problem solving, decision making, sound judgment, assertiveness
* Excellent oral and written communication skills as well as excellent presentation skills with ability to conduct presentations comfortably to large groups
* Strong relationship building and interpersonal skills and team player
* Experienced user of MS Project and MS Office toolset (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
