HRIS Functional Analyst - HRIS, Peoplesoft, HRMS, Cognos, HR Charter, PeopleLink

My client, a leading healthcare specialist is currently looking for a HRIS Functional Analyst to join their team. The ideal candidate will have experience working on PeopleSoft HRMS.

The main purpose of the role is to provide functional expertise to HR systems managed by Group HR. These systems include, but are not limited to: PeopleSoft, Cognos, HR Charter, and PeopleLink. The job holder will be responsible for analysing functional deliverables within projects (e.g. matching business requirements to existing HR systems) and change requests.

Key Responsibilities:

· To analyse and understand at a detailed level the functional capabilities of Group HR applications, their effect on the customer, current system footprint, and the impact of any customisations/configuration on existing and proposed functionality.
· To quickly gain understanding of a new system module/upgrade and how it fits into the HR systems environment.
· To partner with technical support and development teams and customers to balance proposed solutions against system integrity and meeting business requirements.
· To assist in the interpretation of business requirements from all global divisions and provide advice and guidance on best practice systems application use
· To assist in Fit/Gap analysis and data mapping exercises during product / module demonstrations directly with the business.
· To contribute to development of project documentation (e.g. functional design specifications, functional user tests and test plans) within appropriate timescales and to quality standards in line with GTIS project management methodology for systems-based projects.
· To maintain the quality processes for the team e.g. update and development of test packs and system footprint in line with defined guidelines.
· To create test scenarios to meet pre-defined test plans (functional and user) for upgrades, new modules, or change requests and participate in the execution of testing (UAT/Systems/end to end).
· To contribute to definition of business requirements and to document and analyse solutions that are translatable by technical developers, easy to understand for business users/ project teams and to IS quality standards.
· To assist in the creation of user guides and conduct a knowledge transfer to support colleagues for new or upgraded modules.
· To assist the support stream in the analysis of queries and requests that are of high complexity, e.g. query design or complex functional issues.
· To represent the team in project meetings where appropriate.

Key Skills:

· Graduate level or equivalent with demonstrable experience in a HR Systems environment preferably in a global/ diverse organisation.
· Evidence of successful, system related projects with additional experience of developing supporting processes.
· Thorough, methodical and pragmatic approach to problem solving with high attention to detail and a strong desire to complete tasks on time and to expected standards e.g. highly analytical, experience of data analysis techniques.
· Excellent written and interpersonal skills including a collaborative working style and the ability to engage, and recommend to all levels of management.
· Exceptional IT literacy and ability to quickly gain a working knowledge of new technology, demonstrable experience of implementations or upgrades (e.g. setting up configuration data, writing/undertaking tests).
· Peoplesoft HRMS experience and PRINCE 2 foundation level would be an advantage.
