Senior Server Engineer - Wintel, Vmware, Active Directory, SAN, Exchange (contract)

A global business in Macclesfield is looking for a talented Windows Server Engineer to join there team (contract)
The chosen candidate will be responsible for all Server, Storage and Active Directory infrastructure including their virtualised server estate. You will look to maintain an in-depth knowledge of specific technical specialism's (Windows/Vmware Servers, Storage, OS + Active Directory/Exchange) and provide expert advice regarding their application. You will undertake routine installations and de-installations of items of hardware and/or infrastructure software along with conducting tests of hardware and/or infrastructure software using supplied test procedures and diagnostic tools.
You will also be asked to monitor storage activity and resource usage with a remit to optimize storage performance along with planning for forecast resource needs in line with Capacity Management processes.
Key Skills that are essential for this role, are as follows:
* Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence at all levels
* Able to find pragmatic and effective technology solutions to business problems
* Able to work effectively under extreme pressure situation
· It is essential that you have a recent experience of working with:
* Wintel (Windows Server 2005/2008), Vmware, Active Directory, Exchange
* Storage fibre, SAN
Also advantageously working knowledge of:
Netapp
Microsoft/VMware qualifications would be seen as highly desirable, however not essential.
