SharePoint Application Project Manager - Central London
My client, a high profile oil & gas company, is looking for a SharePoint Application Project Manager to join their team in Central London.
The role will be responsible for managing the Alternative Energy SharePoint platform which hosts multiple applications for the AE businesses. This will require close support of the SharePoint administrators and site owners with regards to enhancements and issue resolution, and managing the relationship with the support team for the platform.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities for the role will include:
· Manage the Alternative Energy SharePoint operational processes working with the SDC (SharePoint support team) to support the AE SharePoint site owners and administrators including approval of platform change requests, agreement to outages and communication to user groups
· Provide SharePoint administrative support to the local SharePoint administrators and site owners
· Manage the contractual relationship and service levels with the SDC (SharePoint support team)
· Assist with support ticket management and escalation on behalf of the local businesses
· Provide first line support to SharePoint users normally through site owners
· Manage projects following Capital Value Process methodology (CVP), ensuring that the project has a sound business case, detailed terms of reference, clear business requirements, effective risk management, quality management, change control, performance management and reporting systems and detailed plans that include milestones and deliverables that will bring the project in on time and under budget.
· Development of new content and capability as required by the businesses either as enhancements or, for larger items, as a full CVP based project
· Establish and maintain excellent relationships with the key stakeholders of the SharePoint applications and work actively with them to ensure the increasing adoption of the capabilities offered by SharePoint to increase the value returned by the system to the businesses
Targets
§ Actively promote and support the AE SharePoint platform by strengthening and deepening adoption and functional coverage across AE.
§ Deliver key additional content and capabilities on the Alternative Energy SharePoint platform and ensure the project deliverables enable the realisation and measurement of the business benefits as defined and agreed for the project
§ Projects are run in compliance with the gated CVP - Capital value Process.
§ AE IT&S is an integrated part of AE with close working relationships to business stakeholders
§ The AE SharePoint platform meets the operational requirements of the businesses and change management processes are run effectively
§ The relationship with the SDC is well managed and enables service delivery to meet AE requirements
Experience & Knowledge
Essential Experience
· Development of SharePoint applications and enhancements in areas such as work flows, document management, action tracking, communications, Intellectual Property management, major projects management.
· SharePoint 2010 Administrator
· Managing a major SharePoint platform with applications supporting multiple businesses/teams
· Working with outsourced service providers
