QA Lead / Manager - 6 months - London - £400 / dayMy Market leading international client based in central London has just acquired a new company and the new role is required for the transition period before the deal is completed.They require a hands-on QA Lead/Manager for a period of six months. The QA Lead/Manager will be working closely with the Head of Technology responsible for the acquisition technology, the Project Manager & Solution architect assigned for that transition period along with the technical engineers of the acquired company and the parent company. The project consists in replicating a live environment - both from an infrastructure & application point of view - and making sure the new environment produces the expected same results as the current live environment that will have to be turned off.Preferred Skills & ExperienceIt would be beneficial if candidates were to have some or all of the following experience:· Financial Industry experience preferable· Must work well under pressure and tight deadline· HP integration server· OpenVMS· Fortran, · C++, · Oracle· Market data feeds· XML feeds· Databases · Good communicationThe ability to communicate with management (UK) and to liaise with teams of Engineers who will be working from the parent company and the acquired company is essential.It is expected that the successful applicant will have the following:· 2-3 years Testing/QA including; Oracle & data feeds systems· Experience of leading test teams of 3 - 4 engineers.· Good communication skills with technical and non technical colleagues· Confident in working both autonomously and as part of a team.· Technical knowledge of the SDLC and Agile development process, lightweight Project Management and Development Methodologies.· Familiarity with automated testing tools such as WatiN, Selenium and others and languages such as Fortran, C++, etc. · Experience of reviewing manual test scripts and using Test management tools such as JIRA.If you feel you match these skills well please don't hesitate to send your CV in the first instance.
