We are searching on behalf of our Leicestershire based client for a Test Analyst to work on a permanent basis. It is working for a high profile, extremely well known retailer. My client has outlined the following as prerequisites for this role: Web based testing experience, previous experience as a Lead Test Analyst and a good knowledge of JIRA. In addition, having worked in an agile environment would be a huge advantage. The spec can be found below:Test Lead PositionKey ResponsibilitiesTo liaise and work with the PM to provide test estimates, milestones and regular reviews of these to ensure test plans are on trackTo help drive and implement a suitable and scalable automation testing framework for use within the project and beyondTo escalate within the project any key testing issues, concerns and risksTo work with the client test and development team to ensure aligned test strategies and approachesTo lead and mentor the QA test team and manage any issues arising from the teamTo ensure high quality and accuracy is maintained through to software releaseTo prepare and maintain test plans for use on manual/automated testing toolsTo provide feedback to the development team and ensure the work is carried out in accordance with the schedule and the quality requirementsTo manage the defect process ensuring defects are raised to set standards, forwarded to respective development teams and outcomes of defect reviews are followedTo provide test reports on a regular agreed basis which detail testing progress, issues and risks to project team and test managerTo help provide guidance and assistance in client requirements definitionTo prepare and issue test completion report which will feed into the HOTS process following successful completion of a project/phaseTo ensure test documentation reviews are held and the sign off is agreed with the project team and test managerTo manage day to day running of the project test team and allocation has been given to relevant testers dependent on skill setTo highlight team issues to test manager during regular one to onesTo mentor and coach less experienced co-workers in best testing best practicesTo engage in the testing master class and to contribute ideasTo be a go to point of contact for a particular project in relation to testingTo ensure that environments for a project are in the production like state/fit for use and provide possibilities for change when appropriateTo ensure that all testing team members have the correct hardware/software in order to perform their roleTo provide solutions to data creation, testing tools when there is a need for changeTo add input into documenting the current testing process and assisting in suggestions for changes to the process for the futureTo contribute to the creation of a testing policy and overall corporate testing strategyQualified to ISEB/ISTQB Foundation level and Advanced Level in Test Manager, Test Analyst or Technical Test AnalystExperience of using test tools, enterprise and open sourceExcellent interpersonal skills to communicate at all levels and manage key stakeholders with regards to risk and testing progressThorough knowledge of structured test methods (Agile) and the processes within eachProven experience of testing complex user interfacesDetailed knowledge of both Manual and Automated TestingA commitment to quality and a thorough approach to workExperience of testing SAPSeveral years of testing at senior test/test lead level on multiple sized projectsIf you might be interested in this role, please send a CV in and I will get back to you ASAP.![]()
