Manchester (Competitive Salary!)

The Role:
Support IT services supplied by the UK IT SSC providing effective and high quality support across all software systems and playing a key role within the team
Ensuring all incidents and problems are logged within the call logging system and that they are dealt with in accordance with their SLA
Communicating with business users on progress of incidents and issues raised and chasing them through to resolution
Able to work independently and as part of a team to investigate and troubleshoot complex issues, identify and implement solutions to re-occurring problems

Skills Wanted:
Proven experience in a support environment delivering second line support across various systems to end users both face to face and remotely (essential)
Proven Knowledge of programming/scripting in order to be able to resolve issues that have arisen within a programme (essential)
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal (essential)
Proven experience of working within an ITIL environment (desirable)
Proven Experience of Windows platforms including configuration (desirable)
Good understanding of SQL Server or Oracle database management systems (desirable)
