Project / Portfolio Manager - £55-60k - Milton Keynes. A well-known organisation in Milton Keynes is looking for a number of Portfolio Managers on a permanent basis. You will be managing multiple projects concurrently, which may be within different areas and even on behalf of different business units, so experience as a Portfolio and / or Programme Manager is essential. However, you will still be expected to be "hands-on" in terms of the project management of each project.While operating within the IT function, you will also act as a Business Consultant, finding improvements, scoping and delivering projects to various areas of the business. As such, you will need to combine a strong record of effective Project Delivery of IT projects, with impressive stakeholder management skills. You will need to forge relationships quickly, including with stakeholders abroad, suppliers and customers.You will be able to demonstrate where you have managed projects for the full lifecycle, from defining and scoping the project, through to delivery and post-implementation support. This experience might be within software development, applications or infrastructure projects.You will ideally be Prince 2 certified.
