Front End Developer

Working in the Online Development Team who are looking for an experienced and highly driven individual to join them. This person will be keen to deliver high quality, responsive websites using the latest technologies. They will be self-motivated, keen to work on side projects and explore ideas outside of day to day work.


The role will encompass the following, with room for expansion as new technologies and projects occur:


* Creating beautiful, responsive and maintainable web pages.
* Work with CMS to enhance presentation of content
* Implement functional custom gadgets with creative and engaging UI
* Sharing knowledge through workshops, documentation, code reviews and training


As such, the essential skills/experience required are/is as follows:


* Expert level knowledge of standards compliant HTML/CSS (5+ years)
* Knowledge of the latest HTML5/CSS3 API’s and features
* Responsive website production
* Strong knowledge of JS/JQuery (5+ years)
* Understanding of PHP or similar language
* Experience of social media integration
* Git/SVN
* Using JIRA or similar ticketing system
* Working within an Agile Environment
* Good knowledge of Adobe Photoshop/Illustrator
* Experience writing code for a large, high availability customer facing website
