Finance Systems Project Manager - London

My client a leading Media Company based in London are looking for a Finance Systems Project Manager to join their team.

The chosen canidadte will own champion and manage projects for a dedicated business area (Finance, Corporate and Talent Accounting). Successfully deliver technology change projects required in the area, managing and creating proactive, enthusiastic and delivery oriented project teams within a matrix reporting structure. Actively build & sustain key stakeholder relationships, take ownership of project delivery and assess business satisfaction with delivered results. Report weekly on programme/project deliverables including progress against milestones, budget, resources, risks & issues and take action to mitigate any threats to success.

Essential experience:

· A career history encompassing IT management roles within a challenging, changeable environment comprising multiple projects across a broad spectrum of business and technical needs

· Significant experience of initiating and running multiple ERP/financial systems project teams simultaneously.

· Educated to degree level in an information technology discipline with specialisation in programme/project management and/or software development

· Significant experience of working to a structured and/or agile software development methodology

· Solid understanding and hands-on experience of project planning, estimating and budgeting including knowledge of major technical and business transformation programmes.

· Demonstrable experience of managing for results in a matrix structure, holding others to account to deliver high quality outputs on time, on budget and in line with requirements

· Extensive experience of leading and managing multidisciplinary technical and non-technical teams, excellent team building skills
· Experience of presenting to and working with board level management, exceptional stakeholder management skills, previously proven within a demanding, global organisation
· Able to create and maintain a professional, structured and disciplined project environment whilst also motivating project team members to give their best and deliver great results
· Excellent negotiations skills and ability to manage relationships and adopt an assertive approach where appropriate
· Familiar with challenges associated with driving process / business change in parallel with systems introduction.
· Comfortable working in unstructured and fragmented organisations

· Able to develop and maintain a good understanding of clients business, its aims and objectives and to keep these in mind when undertaking own accountabilities.

· Organised, calm and able to work under pressure in a fast moving environment remaining motivated and committed at all times.

· Persistent, tenacious and results oriented

· ERP and / or Systems implementation experience is essential, SAP expertise with specific SAP SD, FiCO, BW and SAP integration with third party applications desirable
