Production DBA Developer

A dynamic Ecommerce business in Bolton who have been in the Times 100 best places to work for several years are looking to recruit 2 Production DBA Developers.

Main responsibilities
·The DBA will be involved in a variety of tasks, planned and unplanned.
These will include:
· Planned Project Related Work
* Database development for schema creation and validation
* SSIS creation * Job creation * Stored Procedure creation
* Stored Procedure performance optimisation * Data Extracts
* Replication setup/changes· Planned (IT Specific) Project Related Work
* SQL Server Migrationso SQL Server instance installations and setup
* SQL Server Service Pack installations * Replication setup/changes
* High Availability Setup (Clustering, Database Mirroring, Log Shipping)
· Daily and Unplanned Work * Helpdesk Requests
* SQL Server related issues (Replication, Poorly performing queries, Application timeouts)* SQL daily checks * SQL Permissions

What skills do I NEED to have?
· Experienced in SQL Server 2008/2008 R2 · SQL Server Installations/Patch application
· Experienced in Windows Server 2008/2008 R2
· A good understanding of server hardware/infrastructure, builds and network throughput on SQL Server machines
· A working knowledge of performance monitoring on SQL Server machines
· Strong SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) skills from environment implementation/maintenance to individual package builds
· Highly proficient in T-SQL (DML, DDL, DCL, TCL) and DBCC commands
· Data modeling, design and creation of schemas
· Strong knowledge in performance tuning of queries/Stored Procedures through execution plan analysis and Index implementation
· A working knowledge of SQL Profiler
· SQL Server security - planning and best practices
· SQL Server Replication - setup, maintenance and troubleshooting
· Disaster Recovery implementation using native SQL Database Mirroring, Log Shipping, Backup & Restore methodologies
· Capacity planning for SQL Server implementation
· Ability to communicate technically/non technically with all areas of the businessDesirable· SQL Server Failover Clustering working experience
· A degree of knowledge in the Microsoft BI Stack (SSRS, SSAS/OLAP)
· Some C# knowledge in SSIS scripting
· Experience with Fredhopper (Website Search/Menu technology
