Project Management / matching and/or reconciliations / SQL technical background / Post Trade / data manipulation, enrichment, normalisation
Role profile
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Professional Services consultant with a strong technical slant, looking for a challenging career move. Within a leading UK Investment and Financial Services company, you will be responsible for the configuration build of reconciliation and matching solutions for leading Investment banks.
To be successful in this job, you should have had a proven background within matching and/or reconciliations and established experience of working in the financial services and/or investment industry. Strong working knowledge of SQL is prerequisite.
Project / Process Management coupled with good communication skills are essential, as is the ability to deal with a wide cross section of individuals and departments, as part of the PS role, you will liaise on a regular basis with client's project team and stakeholders, providing relevant project lifecycle updates. Project scale will vary from managing multi stream / multi client on boarding to full scale bespoke client solutions utilising a full project lifecycle deployment and project management.
Key responsibilities
* Direct client liaison on a regular basis with client's project team and stakeholders, providing relevant project lifecycle updates.
* Application configuration via GUI and SQL data extraction / manipulation
* Full project delivery lifecycle, including documentation and planning
Key Behaviours
* Proven Project Management skills - with strong emphasis on control, planning and risk mitigation will be a primary differentiator.
* Accountability - committed to taking ownership of tasks and follow up on items for resolution, while demonstrating a positive attitude.
* Candidate must have strong matching and/or reconciliations or post trade experience.
Candidate Profile / Key Skills
* Good knowledge of data manipulation, enrichment, normalisation and underlying issues wrt data reconciliation, validation and quality management.
* Strong financial business knowledge in one or more of the following areas- post trade, BO/MO reconciliation process, cash & stock reconciliation
* Understanding of the post trade / matching space, especially wrt nuances of different asset classes , CFDs, ETDs etc will be a distinct advantage.
* Strong SQL and technical analytical background.
* Ideally 5yrs+ (Senior) either from a financial software vendor or financial institutional BO/MO perspective, though we will consider applicants with less experience, if they exceed in other areas.
