Senior Service Manager

Senior Service Manager, Leicestershire

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Service Manager to join a fantastic organisation based in Leicestershire.
In this role you will be responsible for day-to-day service management of both application and infrastructure for an expanding internal operation, ensuring support is in place across applicable time zones. You will focus on maintaining the highest levels of service through being hands on to gain an in-depth understanding of possible incidents and problems, then working to prevent or reducing impact where prevention isn't avoidable.

Key responsibilities:
·Managing one or more of the international business IT services from day to day.
·Accountable for core service processes, including availability, maintainability, performance, SLA reporting, change management.
·Leading and managing the Service Manager and Technical Support, and working alongside other Senior Service Managers.
·Ensuring issues are promptly and effectively resolved, using the appropriate escalation where required.
·Working with multiple resolver groups (onshore and offshore) to ensure speedy resolution of major incidents and problems, understand root cause, prevent reoccurrence and drive service improvement.
·Management of third party support teams (onshore and offshore) providing second/ third line support for both application and infrastructure.

Key requirements:
·Background in service management, ITIL Foundation as a minimum
·Experience of managing third party technical support teams
·Working knowledge of support processes
·Analytical, organisational, multi-tasking and problem solving skills
