SAP Project Accountant - Sunbury

My client a leading Oil & Gas company based in Sunbury are looking for a SAP Project Accountant to join their team.

SAP Project Accountant
Reporting to the Shipping Finance Projects Manager, the SAP Project Accountant will operate as part of the Finance team.

The Project Accountant will be to assist with the delivery of the Financial Accounting System Transformation agenda working closely with the key stakeholders. The role is varied and wide ranging and can encompass projects activities relating to design and delivery of training materials, end user support, process improvement, systems and other continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Accountabilities
* Act as point of engagement for business and project teams
* Determine the systems impact and translate those applicable into Business Requirements for Technical Changes
* Manage and deliver change by coordinating activities with Outsourced Partners and other Stakeholders
* Advance continuous improvement, process standardisation and efficiency opportunities
* Work with the other teams to support the integrity of the SAP Landscape and associated systems

Essential Criteria
* Accounting knowledge
* Needs to have an in-depth knowledge of end-to-end processes and systems
* Good knowledge of SAP Modules FI/CO/SD/MM/CATS
* Experience with financial control and reporting processes in a commercial business context.
* Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships effectively within a diverse group
* Highly analytical and numerate
* Self-starter with ability to understand requirements and respond to customer needs
* Experience of working in project environment
* Understanding of data migration activities
* Excellent team player with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
* Able to multitask when required, with a strong track record of delivery
* Should be suitably conversant in both Business and Technical language
* Design and Delivery of training materials


Desirable Criteria
* Recognised professional qualification: ACCA, CIMA or ACA
* CODA Experience
* SAP Experience (FI/CO/SD/MM/CATS)
* Experience of data migration activities
