Fantastic opportunity for someone who has experience working in an Online business. We are looking for a Support Engineer to work for an Online business in Warwick. You will focus on supporting and being the first point of contact for their Online and Mobile platforms (including a new Mobile offering).
This company are making major waves in the market due to them working with cutting edge technology and have attracted alot of the technical elete from around the Midlands and London.
We are looking for someone who knows their way around Web / Sys Admin, Web debugging, HTTP requests, good Linux Server administration skills (they run RedHat, but would look at Debian/Ubuntu), good knowledge of Java Application Servers - ideally JBoss and good TCP/IP. Any knowledge or experience of Nagios would also be good, as would Puppet Server configuration.
Amongst other things, you will ensure that the Mobile application is functioning 24x7, is fully monitored and will alert the business to problems reported. You will provide support for application issues, implement workarounds and patches on live systems, work as part of a team to provide restoration of disrupted services.
You will maintain communication & relationships with 3rd parties.You will be involved in DR and capacity planning. You will be working in a DevOps environment, in an Agile based business. You will get involved with other parts of the business so cross training and progression is on offer.
This role is based on a business park in Warwick and offers a salary of £35,000 + benefits.
