My client, a high profile automotive company, is looking for a Project Change Management Coordinator to join their team in Brentwood, Essex.
Role Description:
Position Description:
The primary responsibilities of the position are:
· Provide Project Management support to multiple IT projects
· Utilise project management methodologies, processes and tools
· Assist in defining and managing project scope
· Align all elements of key department projects and integrate into a consolidated reporting tool
· Assist in the development of detailed project plans and monitor progress, adjusting resources and priorities as required
· Participate in development of communication plans to provide timely and appropriate project information to project teams, management and stakeholders
· Identify, assess and mitigate project risks
· Drive resolution of issues
· Work with business partners to identify project business value and associated metrics
· Develop cost/business value projections
· Assist the departmental Supervisor in the evolution and maintenance of the team’s high-level resource plan
· Support the departmental Supervisor in the integration of resource planning processes with associated North American IT departments
· Administer change management within the MIS department: administer and chair the various MIS meetings in place to co-ordinate change management activity
· Administer the on-line repositories supporting MIS change and release management within MIS.
Department Background:
Management Information Systems (MIS) is made up of both the MIS and Financial Reporting Systems (FRS) teams. MIS supports the business through the automated reporting of consistent and accurate pan-European information on business performance. The team supports applications across Europe used for Financial & Regulatory Reporting, HR & Legal. The focus is upon the project management, integration and implementation of new source systems within the reporting base, as well as the enhancement and support of existing third party systems, often working with external vendors.
Key applications include:
· MIS: Extract, Transform, and Load; Enterprise Data Warehouse; WebFOCUS Reporting.
· European Liquidity Monitoring: used to report FCE's daily liquidity status to the Bank of England.
· STB: used for submitting returns to the Bank of England and the Financial Services Authority (FSA).
Key projects for 2013 and beyond include:
· Additional automation of the ELM application
· Delivery of a global reporting and sales support tool
· Support the inclusion of new locations
Personal Profile:
Required:
· Strong prioritisation, co-ordination, organisational, and communication skills. Calling on resource from other global support teams and business partners to meet critical delivery dates.
· Knowledge of system development lifecycles and exposure to lifecycle development methodologies e.g.
USDM.
· Exposure to Project Management methods and tools - specifically MS Project
Desired:
· Formal facilitation and chartering training
· 6-Sigma (DMAIC and DFSS) green belt level
· Negotiation/change management/conflict management training
· Experience working with business customers and global groups
· An understanding of basic accounting terms and concepts
· Exposure to the Computer Associates ';Clarity’ tool
