Global SAP Application Director - SAP, Global
My client, a global marketing company is currently looking for a Global SAP Application Director to manage all aspects of the SAP system.
The Global SAP Application Director is responsible for managing all aspects of the SAP Systems supporting several of the clients businesses globally. This role is responsible for end-to-end SAP support operations and ensuring maximum system availability. This includes delivering SAP services to meet business requirements, working closely with business owners to build relationships, actively managing SAP projects, and managing a team of SAP resources. These resources will develop and maintain all tasks in the development cycle, starting from business process definition, to configuration and unit testing, assistance and follow-up with user testing, to co-ordination of transports to Production, to training and post-live support and fixes, etc.
Provide leadership as well as hands on experience for identifying, designing, and implementing "best practice" business processes using SAP.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provides leadership and direction to the various global SAP teams
* Reviews and provide input to organisational structures to support business needs
* Accountable for the integrity of key human resource processes including career development, salary review, resourcing approach and performance management
* Accountable for day-to-day budget management and reporting processes.
* Generates the development KPIs and circulates them to the senior management
* Establishes the business analysis, development standards, change control procedures and testing standards
* Responsible for the management of quality/ business process excellence in sphere of influence.
* Evaluates new technologies, trends and feasibility of the implementation of these technologies
Key functional responsibilities:
* Develop and maintain all tasks in the development cycle, starting from business process definition, to configuration and unit testing, assistance and follow-up with user testing, to co-ordination of transports to Production, to training and post-live support and fixes, etc.
* Define and communicate project plans and status to executive management.
* Manage SAP development team staffing, including recruitment, supervision, scheduling, development, evaluation, and motivation.
* Act as lead project manager on multiple projects to implement SAP functionality
* Resolve SAP help desk requests and manage overall helpdesk ticket process for SAP team.
* Act as liaison between SAP IT Team, EMEA, North American, and Asia Pac business user community.
* Definition of service level agreements (SLA’s), ensuring the SLA’s are achieved, that service quality and client expectations are met or exceeded as well as cost-effective
* Monitoring of SAP performance and provision of key operational support metrics
* Facilitation of Level 2 & 3 support to the business, initiation of escalation processes as required, and ensuring on-going communication throughout the process to keep clients informed
