A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced Cloud Operations Engineer to join one of the most well known and fastest growing Digital Agencies in Britain.
Reporting to the Solutions Engineer, my client is searching for a Cloud Operation Engineer to play an important role in their infrastructure software on Amazon Web Services. Ideally you will have worked in both a development and operations focused role and also have excellent problem solving skills. You will also be extremely comfortable with networking technologies such as DNS, TCP/IP, SSL, DHCP and Load Balancing. The successful applicatant will respond to and resolve emergent service problems, build tools and automation to prevent problems reoccurring.
Must have:
Experience of working within an Operations Team.
Experience of enterprise monitoring and analytical tools for large scale infrastructure.
Experience of Delivering large scale client server software solutions.
Experience of developing software on Linux and Bash.
Experience of Linux Server Administration.
Experience of troubleshooting complex problems.
Experience of customer service and customer focused roles.
Desirable:
Exposure to Amazon Web Services (VPC, CloudWatch, CloudFormation, IAM, EC2, S3, EBS, RDS, Route53).
Experience of working on enterprise solutions and large companies.
Experience of administering nginx / Apache / haproxy / memcache.
Experience of Configuring management tools (Puppet, Chef).
Experience of Networking (DNS, TCP/IP).
Exposure to mobile networks and telecoms.
Experience of programming in Java, Perl, PHP, Python, C++, Ruby, Node.js, Bash Scripts.
Exposure to enterprise level database solutions.
Exposure to DevOps principles and culture.
Exposure to Kanban.
Exposure to Capacity Management and Incident Management.
