In this role you will be responsible for a small and highly experienced Development Team working in (but not exclusively) Java, JavaScript, HTML5, SQL and Unix. You do not need to have necessarily had experience of working in these technologies before but you must have some proven experience of being a coder in the past. Therefore, you will have previously programmed and personally developed software yourself. Your programming experience will include some object orientated programming. To make a successful application you must have had experience of managing software development teams in the past. Alternatively this could be a step up for you and you could have mentored / guided a team as a Team Leader. You will be extremely passionate about new technology and have a can do and positive attitude. You will have worked in an agile and / or waterfall environment before. Working closely with key internal and external stakeholders you will have excellent communication skills. You will need to have experience of the full software development life cycle. You will be able to understand business requirements, develop technical specifications, manage the development life cycle, liaise with testing and ensure everybody involved understands the end goal. You will be commercially minded as you will need to liaise with clients.
You will be a highly technical person who is genuinely passionate about technology as you will have the opportunity to work with a variety of different types of software. This includes web applications and mobile / tablet. You will be ready to bring new ideas to the table to further support the rapid growth my client is currently enjoying.
