Senior Voice Engineer sought by my City based Investment Banking client for an initial 12 month contract role.
Job Description:
- To design and implement Voice solutions in line with the needs of the business(es) supported
-To ensure that projects are implemented within time and financial constraints
-To deliver support (as an escalation point) to the business
-To keep abreast of developments in Voice, Video and Data Network technology, and deploy where the business may demonstrably benefit
Essential skill set:
Extensive experience in telecommunications, focused on design and deployment of VoIP solutions within the Banking environment.
* Solid experience in design and deployment of:
- Avaya Aura infrastructure
- Avaya ACD/CMS Call Center systems
- Verint Voice Recording
- NICE Voice Recording
- Orange Dealerboard infrastructure
- Microsoft Lync Voice
- Remote Access solutions
* Good experience in:
- Cisco Ethernet switching & router platforms.
- IP Multicast in LAN/WAN.
- QoS & traffic contracts in LAN/WAN
- Microsoft infrastructure components and functionality.
- IPv6 implementation and migration strategy.
- Network management tools: HP Open View, InfoVista, Netflow Tracker.
- Packet analysis tools such as Omnipeek and Wireshark.
- Network Access Control based on 802.1x, PKI and Radius.
- Firewalls based on Checkpoint, Cisco & Juniper product ranges.
- Wireless LAN & WAN solutions.
* Can demonstrate:
- Solid analytical skills: troubleshooting, conducting network and application delivery evaluation studies. - Good project management skills.
- Excellent writing skills in the English language.
* Can present complex technical ideas and solutions to a non-technical audience
* Competent in the use of: - MS Word - MS Excel - MS Powerpoint - MS Visio
