SSRS Report Developer (permanent) - Sheffield (South Yorkshire)
This role will report into the MI Manager. The role will be accountable for ensuring the operational reporting requirements are developed and delivered into the corporate CRM system in an effective manner. This will be achieved through being accountable for ensuring all relevant documentation, control processes and front end systems are developed and in place to allow for customer self-service. You will be seen as part of a specialist team that is seen as the data experts within the business and will be called on for advice on data and reporting related issues from CRM users.
Main Accountabilities:
* To be able to work with the Business to understand the reporting requirements for CRM and to be able to work up appropriate models and solutions
* To work with the BI Development Manager to understand the scope and impacts to the data warehouse, escalating issues where required and to be accountable for delivering and maintaining the CRM reporting solutions
* To contribute to the set up, scoping, initiation, implementation and efficient running of CRM Reports
* To become an expert in all aspects of bespoke CRM reports across the whole of the organisation
* To build relationships with the BI Delivery Team to ensure the needs of the Business in terms of operational reports
* To maintain appropriate applications to ensure services are continuously available to the wider audience
* To contribute to the overall Business Intelligence Team in establishing appropriate models to deliver continuously improving Intelligence to the Business
* Design and develop reporting solutions that will increase Business awareness and knowledge across the Group
* Other activities and small projects as required by the BI Development Manager and the Head of BI
Skills & Experience Needed:
· Minimum 5 years experience of working in a data orientated environment, delivering multi level reporting utilising industry standard application
· Good and recent knowledge of working with SSRS in an operational environment
· Advanced SQL skills encompassing T-SQL, Triggers, Stored Procedures
· Demonstrable experience of working with key stakeholders to understand Business requirements and transform into deliverables
· Possess a strong passion for data, setting high standards, accuracy and staying ahead of a dynamic customer focused business
· Capable of investigating, familiarising and mastering new data sets quickly
· A highly capable and organised team player, with excellent communication skills, sharing ideas and best practice within the team
· Capability to juggle multiple conflicting business requirements and able to prioritise with stakeholders on delivery
Desirable:
· Have worked with MS Dynamics CRM is desirable
· Have experience of other reporting solutions, eg, Business Objects is desirable
· Delivery of training material, processes and procedures to a wide audience is desirable
· Advanced Excel knowledge is desirable
· SSIS or SAP Business Object Data Integrator is desirable
