My Cambridgeshire based client has an opening of a Principal Developer - Business Intelligence You will report to the Development Lead and take a leading role in the design and development of software systems. Mentor and provide guidance to the team. Provide technical direction, strategy, and expert advice to Development management Principal Accountabilities: Deliver expert development output throughout the whole software development lifecycle. Lead by example demonstrating high quality development skills and in-depth technical knowledge Provide technical direction across the application lifecycle on projects and programmes. Provide input to the full development lifecycleProvide, lead the development of, and conform to technology, strategy and internal quality standards. Report to all levels of management for onwards dissemination Provide expert technical advice as required for future technology direction Contribute to the setting and review of design and development standards for a technical discipline. Provide estimates and accurate designs. Knowledge, Experience and Skills: Demonstrate an excellent level of knowledge and understanding, and have practical experience in the following areas:- TSQL / SSIS / SSRS / SSAS 2008R2 Skills Database Design Performance /Tuning skills Significant development experience, including mentoring other developers within a team. Strong understanding of functional programming languages and functional design patterns.
