Business Change and Communications Manager - Sunbury

My client a leading Oil & Gas company based in Sunbury are looking for a Business Change & Communications Manager to join their team.

The successful candidate will support the global deployment framework project. This is a project that will make significant progress in standardising the way global projects and programmes are delivered to the global regions. The scope of the project includes all Domains and regions in Upstream IT&S, Project governance, guides/templates and process maturityand will involve engagement with many stakeholders including CIOs and Programme Managers.
The role holder will focus on planning for and enabling identified changes to take place, ensuring the changes are sustained within the organisation. The changes are IT enabled business changes and include changes to business processes, systems and technology.

Business Change is defined as the structured approach to transitioning individuals and teams from a current state to a desired future state. Business Change is the process to help employees adopt and embrace changes to new ways of working.

The selected candidate will play a key role in the successful development and deployment of a Global Deployment Framework which will improve the success and efficiency of global deployments for Upstream IT&S.

Responsibilities
The selected candidate will be:
Single point of contact for Business Change, owning the change management strategy, plan and guiding principles and acting as the subject matter expert for Business Change.

Responsibilities:

a. Business Change Planning & Business Readiness

a. Create and maintain a change management strategy and plan
b. Work with the Project Manager to integrate change management activities into the overall project plan
c. Apply a structured Business Change approach based on existing methodologies
d. Promote and facilitate the agreement of business change definitions and terminology
e. Prepare key Business Change Plans, including Communications Plan, Sponsor Plan, Training Plan and Resistance Management Plan.
f. Assess the impact of changes
g. Assess the readiness for change within the impacted communities
h. Identify measures and create and manage measurement systems to track adoption of changes and proficiency of change interventions.

b. Business Engagement & Communications

a. Create and manage the project communications strategy and plan considering related projects
b. Identify stakeholders and prepare a stakeholder analysis
c. Responsible for building core communication materials and delivery through existing core communication channels
d. Develop key messages with Project Manager and SPA and develop key message documents for the team to use which includes standard scripts for team members and scripts for the Governance Board
e. Development of all project communication collateral and channels (website, standard slide packs, key message documents etc)
f. Development and creation of the project team SharePoint site to share, store and audit all programme documents and informatio
g. Responsible for pulling together agenda, materials etc. for any workshops
h. Assist workstreams to develop specific targeted messaging and communications
i. Prepare Project Delivery Method Updates for review with Project Services


c. Business Capability (Learning & Development / Training)
a. Identify training needs for impacted communities
b. Create and maintain a training plan
c. Organise training delivery through appropriate channels

Experience & Knowledge
· Previous experience in IT enabled Business Change
· Experience and knowledge of change management principles, tools and methods
· Familiar with Project Management methodologies
· Experienced in the development of training strategies, training needs analysis through to training delivery
· Demonstrated experience in change management communications vs. standard corporate communications
· Experience of completing of business readiness assessments to ensure successful implementation
· Ability to coach/mentor team members on Business Change requirements
· Strong verbal and written communication skills
· Strong resilience and ability to deal with ambiguity
